MOKPOKPO SCHOOL

Togo

The goal of this project is to build a primary school in Wugome, a village 50km west of Lome, the capital of Togo in West Africa.

Wugome is a very poor village of subsistence farmers which is strongly influenced by animism. They had no church and the closest school was 3km away, but the parents could not afford to pay the $5 annual school fees for their children to attend.

An evangelical Christian church was planted in Wugome for the first timne in 2016, and the vision for the school came as a result of much prayer.

Currently
150 students attend school in a building made of stick walls with a tin roof.

The school has no other facilities.

The 4 teachers are underpaid or not paid at all.

GOAL

Funds are needed currently for land on which to build the school, the actual school buildings and lunches, salaries, and administrative expenses.
